Welcome to BiteFit. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use the BiteFit mobile app.

1. Who we are

BiteFit ("we", "our", "the app") is operated by BiteFit (operated by Noman Haider), based in Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

2. What we collect

BiteFit has no account / sign-in. It works fully on-device.

On-device data (stored only on your phone, never uploaded by us):

Food log entries, weight history, water/diet preferences, body measurements, fasting state, app settings, Ramadan city preference, calorie goal.

Recipe Builder (AI), Pro only (only when you tap "Generate recipe"):

The ingredient text you type is sent to OpenAI to generate one recipe with its calories. We do not store it; OpenAI processes it under their API data policy. No photos, no personal identifiers are sent — only the ingredient words you enter.

Diagnostics:

Anonymous crash reports and basic usage events via Firebase Crashlytics + Analytics, tied to a random installation ID — not to your identity.

Subscriptions (only if you buy BiteFit Pro):

Purchases are processed by Google Play and managed via RevenueCat using an anonymous subscriber ID. We never see your card details.

3. What we do not collect

We have no accounts and store no personal profile in the cloud.
We do not sell your data.
We do not run ads.
We do not track your location.
We do not access your contacts, microphone, or other media.

4. How long we keep it

On-device data: as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling, or using Reset & set a new goal in the app, removes it.
Diagnostics: retained per Firebase's standard retention; anonymous and not linked to you.

5. How to delete your data

All your data lives on your device. To erase it:

In-app: Profile → Reset & set a new goal wipes all food logs, weight, settings and onboarding answers on this device.
Or simply uninstall the app — that removes everything.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California, PDPA in PK / IN), you may have the right to:

Access the data we hold about you.
Request correction.
Request deletion.
Object to or restrict certain processing.

8. Children

BiteFit is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will note the new date at the top and, if changes are material, show an in-app notice.
